Jessica Jane Robinson
Ms. Robinson has starred in and produced her own movie “Recycle Woman." Recycle Woman is a fictional character, Jessica created, as an innovative way to spread her and other environmental leader's real work and stories toward solving man made environmental disasters.
Executive Producer
Jessica Jane Robinson is a City of Alameda native and has a BA degree in Performing Arts and Social Justice, minor in dance from the University of San Francisco. Jessica participated as Miss Alameda for the 2010 and 2011 Miss California USA pageant, with the platform of reducing landfill, greenhouse gas emissions, promoting clean technology and energy. She is an environmental advocate, producer, director, actress and ballerina.
As Miss Alameda, Jessica has sought to encourage behavior changes among the public by promoting Alameda’s recycling and composting program in local schools and businesses. She is one of the founders of the MASC program (Miss Alameda Says Compost), recruiting restaurants in Alameda to recycle and compost. She has helped the City of Alameda reach their 75% diversion goal in 2012, by the success of her programs and outreach.
Jessica is now focusing her energy on "Resilience: Birthright," a trans-media project, addressing the global emergency of climate change, sea level rise and the trashing of our planet. The project revolves around an animated and live action television series telling the story of Resilience, a young woman who grows to recognize the power within her to help heal the earth. The episodes will focus on simple ways people can make changes, so that if done in masses will make a huge positive impact on a global level.
